Welcome to Kiawah!

Views of the Atlantic Ocean along a small segment of more than 10 miles of beautiful beach are just a part of the natural splendor of Kiawah Island. The barrier island, south of Charleston, SC and only 1.5 miles at its widest point
displays an array of oaks, palmettos, pine, hickory, sweet gum and magnolia
trees in its forest. The 10,000 acre island is home to whitetail deer, raccoons, bobcats and opossums as well as over 30 species of reptiles and amphibians including alligators and sea turtles. More than 140 species of birds including
American Bald eagles grace the skies.
EarthCam, along with its affiliate, The Kiawah Island Community Association,
is pleased to provide a glimpse of this peaceful, environmentally friendly private residential and resort community.
The population residing on some 4,000 properties is admired for
groups of volunteers dedicated to protect the island's wildlife, fish,
and natural environment.
