Using its newly-developed AI algorithms, EarthCam is currently able to process over half a million high-resolution images a day to detect if camera images are obscured by foreign objects, dirt, fog or have the presence of rain droplets on the lens. The smart software looks for 16 different components in an image, both desirable and unwanted features, and then creatively re-edits the video. For example, when the algorithm detects images that are affected by adverse weather conditions or an interior camera that has been covered by a plastic sheet, they are automatically excluded from the AI-generated time-lapse movies. In the past 30 days, EarthCam has removed more than 1.8 million undesirable frames from clients’ automated time-lapse movies, clearly demonstrating the value of this important update.

This plugin is perfect for documenting interiors and eliminates the need to continuously trigger the camera to take photos.
