New York, December 17, 2009 -- EarthCam (http://www.earthcam.com), the world's favorite webcam network and recognized international authority in the network camera industry, today announced its 11th annual list of the world's “25 Most Interesting Webcams.”

The honors went to sites from Frankfurt to “Dogtopia” and included exciting new HD views of Times Square and Rio de Janiero, as well as picturesque views of the highest and lowest tides in the world in Nova Scotia. Besides new technological achievements, top webcams included a romantic town in Italy, a shopping mall in Russia and a 360 degree view of London. Hardworking bees, relaxing pandas, circling sharks, and tunneling ants complete the leading webcam list.

“’Traveling’ the world via live webcams and experiencing the unique creativity of individuals is always exciting. We honor our winners annually for their discovery and use of new technology, eye-catching design and their ability to entertain and educate millions,” said Brian Cury, CEO and Founder of EarthCam. “We are pleased to recognize and celebrate their achievements. They give us a look into a world we may otherwise not experience.”

Throughout the year, EarthCam producers selected more than 100 semi-finalists from among thousands of webcam sites. The EarthCam panel of VIP judges then chose the top 25 based on criteria of concept, creativity, technology, visual quality and design.
