Welcome to Tempe!
Tempe is located in Maricopa County, Arizona. In 1879 Darrell Duppa compared
the Salt River valley to the Vale of Tempe near Mount Olympus, Greece and,
thus, Tempe got its name. Tempe is a southeast suburb of Phoenix, and
Scottsdale is found just to the north. It is the most densely-populated city
in Arizona. Tempe is sunny 300+ days a year, and annual rainfall is about
7.36 inches.

This EarthCam camera offers a variety of views of ASU's main campus, ASU
