EarthCam Premieres Construction Time-Lapse for Barclays Center Grand Opening

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, September 27, 2012 -- EarthCam, the recognized leader in webcam technology, is celebrating the grand opening of the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY with the premiere of their theatrical construction time-lapse. The cinematic movie showcases the progress for this massive project from foundation to completion.

EarthCam's construction camera technology, including eight live streaming webcams and two high definition megapixel systems, were strategically positioned around the jobsite to document all progress leading up to the groundbreaking in March 2010. The cameras then followed both interior and exterior construction through completion. EarthCam's Time-Lapse production team combed through the massive library of captured images and edited them into a theatrical-quality time-lapse movie. The movie highlights the most dynamic views of the project and serves as the perfect homecoming for this new multi-purpose arena. Developed by Brooklyn-based real estate developer Forest City Ratner Companies and designed by architectural firms AECOM and SHoP, Barclays Center serves as the new home of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets and will host more than 200 events in its first year, including concerts, college basketball, family shows, boxing, and more.
