EarthCam Joins Ford to Produce Live Interactive Webcast at the North American International Auto Show


EarthCam's Extensive Online Coverage to Include Multiple Webcams and Live Video Chats

On location at the 2002 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, EarthCam's extensive online coverage will include multiple webcams strategically placed throughout the Ford exhibit, as well as live video chats.

On January 11th, live coverage of the Ford exhibit will be available to the online viewing audience at FordVehicles.com (www.fordvehicles.com). EarthCam will have four robotic webcam systems in order to capture a widespread number of angles and viewpoints of the Ford vehicles scattered about the exhibit. Additionally, two cameras will be focused solely on Ford's GT-40 and, soon to be launched, 2003 Expedition.

Ford vehicle enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to interact with designers and experts via video chat to ask questions and converse about the specific cars. Beginning on Monday, January 14th and continuing through until Friday, January 18th, online visitors can log on to FordVehicles.com between 12:00noon and 1:00pm Eastern time to participate.

With the 2002 North American International Auto Show being so large, Ford has chosen to take advantage of the opportunity by launching its 2003 Expedition. On January 8th, Ford will unveil the 2003 Expedition to the world via the Internet. EarthCam will stream live this unveiling in both Windows Media format and RealPlayer format. Scheduled to begin at 8:50am Eastern time, viewers will be able to see live streaming video with audio in either 28k, 56k, 100k or 300k depending on the speed of their broadband connection.

The 2002 North American International Auto Show will take place in Detroit, Michigan at COBO Hall from January 11th-21st, 2002. The show will be open to the public from 10:00am to 10:00pm from January 11th-20th and from 10:00am to 7:00pm on January 21st when the show concludes.
