631^%^EarthCam Awarded 'Company of the Year' by Regional Chamber of Commerce^%^^%^1544158800^%^

EarthCam is the proud recipient of the 2018 Company of the Year award and celebrated this honor at the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce’s (MRCC) annual holiday luncheon today.

Recognized for its charitable contributions to the community, EarthCam has long fostered the belief in the importance of giving back to local charities, non-profit organizations and philanthropic causes. Employees have delivered winter coats to families through NJ Cares, partnered with the local PBA to donate to Toys for Tots, donated to the Feed the Hungry Program organized by the Eastwick Foundation and raised funds for a local chapter of Girls Who Code, an organization that provides resources and training to close the gender gap that exists in the technology field. Earlier this year, the EarthCam team gathered to walk for Breast Cancer Research and sponsored the event held in Englewood, NJ. EarthCam has also contributed to the James Rose Foundation, a local non-profit landscape research and study foundation.

“The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors selected EarthCam as MRCC’s 2018 Company of the Year based on their philanthropic projects both locally and nationwide,” said Sharon Rounds, Executive Director for the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce, representing over 95 communities in New Jersey and New York. “We are happy to have them as a neighbor and proud to call EarthCam our member since 2015.”

Nationally, EarthCam is strongly committed to donating its webcam technology and services to organizations including the National Park Service, Habitat for Humanity, Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation and 9/11 Memorial Museum. EarthCam installed a camera just days after the September 11, 2001 attacks to document the recovery and rebuilding of the World Trade Center site. The company donated the original camera, along with millions of progress photos, to be included in the 9/11 Memorial Museum collection. Most recently, EarthCam provided its services to the National Park Service to broadcast President Trump’s address at the September 11 Memorial Service. Families and friends of those lost on that day were able to view the special ceremony from anywhere around the world via the live webcast.

“I am honored by this recognition from MRCC and grateful for the wonderful generosity of our community in how they have embraced our company, and more importantly, our employees”, said Brian Cury, CEO and Founder of EarthCam. “This area is a fantastic place to build an organization, thanks in large part to our fellow businesses and the community leaders. We are proud to be an MRCC member and we strive to continue to effect positive change both locally and nationwide.”

Founded in 1996, the company’s sustained growth drove the need for a new, expanded corporate headquarters in Upper Saddle River. The EarthCampus™ officially opened its doors in May of 2018 and fosters a fun, energetic work environment to further innovation and enhance creativity. Employee well-being is a central focus of EarthCam’s LEED-Certified facility, where floor to ceiling windows and skylights bring the outdoors in, providing natural light to the open, organic work spaces throughout the building. Wellness programs have been implemented, offering employees access to professionally instructed yoga sessions and healthy meals served weekly.

With all of the benefits of the beautiful 10-acre campus, EarthCam has recruited many recent graduates from various technology fields, bringing dozens of new jobs to the area, with plans to continue expanding.

EarthCam, the leading provider of construction camera technology, announced today at Groundbreak the newest feature set for its continued integration with Procore

Building upon its existing integration of live streaming video and megapixel imagery, EarthCam’s Control Center 8 software-as-a-service (SaaS) now gives Procore users access to even more of EarthCam’s high-quality construction camera content, including gigapixel panoramas and interactive 360° VR media, for a comprehensive overview of exterior and interior project progress. The recently released Version 8.5 of EarthCam’s software features added support for Bentley Synchro 4D models and Autodesk BIM 360, where users will benefit from the ability to view their EarthCam cameras in relation to BIM, Navisworks and Revit models. Users can perform live comparisons and execute measurement functions between webcams, 360° VR photography and 2D, 3D or 4D models.

“Our ongoing Procore integration continues to deliver valuable visual information for a successful project management process,” said Brian Cury, CEO and Founder of EarthCam. “We are empowering users with data-rich media that is simple to analyze and understand. Clients can easily share updates across their organization to support lean business practices and unify communications.”

EarthCam has created a two-way highway for sharing jobsite imagery with the added support for users to import additional progress photos from their Procore projects into its Control Center 8 SaaS. Project managers can utilize the visual content in several beneficial ways, including adding visual support for efficient RFI management, verifying punch list tasks and expediting submittal reviews by attaching webcam content. Users also have the ability to incorporate 360° photography media into drawings to verify design plans and identify potential safety issues. Additionally, users can access their Procore contact list, making it easy to share important visual updates directly with their team.

Video content is also a major part of this new integration phase, enabling users to share important video recordings and time-lapse movies directly within Procore albums for further insight into jobsite activity. All of the content can be viewed in a full-screen display and is easy to share for effective communications.

Going beyond visual updates, EarthCam also provides integrated sensors to deliver critical jobsite data for further analysis. The professional webcam systems were launched in conjunction with the newest version of EarthCam’s Control Center 8 Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) suite, Version 8.5. This latest round of updates includes support for artificial intelligence (AI) powered image analytics and major technological advancements for more efficient streaming of high-quality live video wirelessly over 4G LTE networks.

EarthCam’s new GigapixelCam X1 leads the live streaming camera series, delivering higher quality streaming video than ever before. This hybrid webcam technology solution performs the function of multiple cameras, delivering 4K broadcast-quality video and 5 billion pixel panoramic photography. Featuring full user-controllable 360° panning, 180° tilt and a built-in 144x zoom, the industrial-grade webcam boasts a larger high-performance image sensor, resulting in photos and gigapixel panoramas that are displayed in extraordinary detail. The camera features RAW format imaging technology for projects that demand the highest possible quality from a fixed-position time-lapse camera. RAW format records 6,300% more levels of brightness than typical JPEG imagery, allowing for more adjustments to the photos without sacrificing image quality. Users also have access to real-time video recordings and can promote their construction milestones for years to come with impressive 8K time-lapse movies. EarthCam also premiered the MegapixelCam 4K, an entry-level time-lapse camera suitable for any project budget and timeline. The powerful, yet cost-effective system delivers high-quality content via 24 megapixel photography, a live video preview for real-time progress monitoring and 4K time-lapse movies for marketing.

EarthCam rebuilt its Control Center 8 SaaS from the ground up, optimizing the viewing experience for desktop, tablet and mobile phones. The enhancements go far beyond a responsive display, creating a totally custom design for a tailored viewing experience from device to device. Version 8.5 continues to expand the ways in which users can incorporate their EarthCam construction camera content into third party project management apps with the addition of Bentley Synchro and Autodesk BIM 360 to its robust portfolio of integration partners. Optimizations to both its construction camera and photography interfaces enable users to integrate webcam images, 360° VR photography, videos, gigapixel panoramas and time-lapse movies within the BIM 360 user platform. The visual content empowers users with the most up-to-date jobsite photography to measure against 3D BIM, Navisworks and Revit models.

Control Center 8.5 also contains new AI-powered image analytics, enabling EarthCam to use intelligent video analysis with the learning capability of AI to process live video, archived recordings and still photos. The first product to include this AI support is the new EarthCam skill for Amazon Echo Show. Unique AI algorithms developed by EarthCam programmers analyze the live webcam images, scanning for specific colors and pigment gradients, to purposefully select content for the best possible views of sunrises and sunsets. Through the EarthCam skill, the video-enabled device delivers live streaming EarthCam content based on user utterances, such as “Alexa, show me a sunrise”. When prompted, EarthCam will deliver its high-quality live streaming content directly to the user’s device based specifically on the AI algorithm determinations.

As a pioneer of online IP camera streaming, EarthCam is leading the industry by incorporating the new H.265 streaming video codec, which serves as one of the flagship features for the latest version of its online software. Version 8.5 includes support for transporting 4K-quality video at increased transmission speeds while utilizing significantly less data throughout the process, delivering immediate cost savings to customers.

Rounding out the 2019 product line is an economically-priced live streaming security camera, which delivers high resolution imagery for comprehensive jobsite surveillance. Featuring a powerful 30x optical zoom, the ultra-responsive system images the entire jobsite and delivers frequent panoramic images for critical insight into project progress and acts as a serious security tool for documentation of the perimeter and surrounding areas.

~628^%^New EarthCam Headquarters Receives ENR New York Best Projects Award^%^3-Year Corporate Campus Renovation Recognized for Excellence Alongside World-Class Winners^%^1538625600^%^

EarthCam is busy clearing some premier wall space to showcase its new ENR New York Best Projects award. The webcam technology leader’s new headquarters was recognized as the Best Small Project and was bestowed with this prestigious construction industry honor. EarthCam is proud to share this recognition with its structural engineer, David L. Kufferman, P.E., the architectural team from Davis Brody Bond and Spacesmith and Interior Designer, Vanessa DeLeon.

Selected by a panel of jurists for its dramatic structural intervention, visitors are greeted by an enormous, sloping 25-foot tall video portal encased in an almost 3-story glass curtain wall atrium. The video portal presents a unique medium for transforming EarthCam’s live video content into a digital representation of art imitating life, elegantly displaying the essence of the EarthCam brand. A 6-ton blackened steel tunnel serves as a transitional gateway through the video into EarthCam’s offices. Floor to ceiling windows and skylights bring the outdoors in, providing natural light to the open, organic work spaces throughout the building. Keeping with the green initiative, the LEED-certified interior space has many reclaimed, recycled and repurposed components.

“It took the support and dedication of an incredible group of talented people to make our new headquarters a reality,” said Brian Cury, CEO and Founder of EarthCam. “Thank you to our amazing customers, whose generous support enabled us to invest back into our company and develop this innovative campus. And most importantly, our team, who this employee-centric and collaborative space was built for.”

Located on an expansive 10-acre campus in Upper Saddle River, NJ, EarthCampus is a LEED-certified workspace designed by Steven M. Davis, FAIA, of Davis Brody Bond in collaboration with Spacesmith. The architectural team transformed the old factory site into a vibrant campus aimed at boosting employee health and collaboration. The EarthCam building is clad in more than 5,000-square-feet of translucent aluminum panels, which are backlit by 3,500 custom-manufactured LED lights to create a high-tech glow. Made from recycled materials, the façade reflects light during the day, while acting as a sunshield for reduced energy consumption.

The judges were also impressed by the landscaping surrounding the headquarters, which features revitalized grounds originally designed by famed landscape architect James Rose, including meditation areas, walking paths and bike trails. Nods to the elements of earth, water, air and fire are seen throughout the outdoors and interior office spaces, with landscaping in the design sightlines, air moving through the porous aluminum panels and gas-fired globes placed within the water of the fountains.

The nearly 3-year construction process for the award-winning EarthCam Headquarters was documented by over 40 different time-lapse construction cameras, 360° photography and drone videography. Watch the vision for EarthCampus™ come to life with EarthCam’s 4K construction time-lapse movie. Throughout the life of the project, EarthCam made views of the construction process available online via a public web page so visitors could track progress and see important milestones.

Every year, ENR New York assembles an independent group of judges to review, score and determine the final winners from the states of New Jersey and New York. The judging panel recognized the EarthCam Headquarters as the winner for the Best Small Project category. Other ENR New York Best Projects winners include the Goethals Bridge Replacement Project, LaGuardia Airport, NYU Langone Health Science Building, 3 World Trade Center and Zaha Hadid’s 520 West 28th Street – all of which were documented by EarthCam’s construction camera technology.

As a pioneer of online video streaming, EarthCam continuously incorporates the latest technologies into its already robust platform to deliver the highest-quality content for its clients. EarthCam has devoted significant resources to develop software to transport 4K-quality video, next-generation 8K content and to provide reliable control of network-based camera systems. With support for High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) or H.265, EarthCam clients will have quicker access to significantly higher quality video streams, while utilizing substantially less data throughout the process. “EarthCam is the expert in streaming live video from locations all over the world. Our customers know that when they invest in EarthCam they are receiving premier technology and responsive customer service,” said Bill Sharp, Senior Vice President, Product Development & Strategy for EarthCam. “The incorporation of H.265 today embraces our lean communication practices, while providing a path to take full advantage of future technologies, such as 5G, as they become available.”

This latest enhancement, already available in the company’s flagship GigapixelCam X1 camera system for the construction and entertainment industries, combined with a newly reengineered software-as-a-service platform, delivers unprecedented performance. Additional benefits include highly-responsive pan, tilt and zoom controls, enabling users to reposition the camera’s point of view instantaneously.

~622^%^Elvis Costello Headlines at EarthCam Headquarters Grand Opening Party^%^Milestone Event Celebrates World\'s Largest Facility Dedicated to Webcam Technology & Services^%^1527652800^%^

EarthCam officially opened the doors to its new 10-acre headquarters in Northern New Jersey: The EarthCampus™. Hundreds of the webcam technology leader’s clients, industry partners and media personalities joined the EarthCam team at the grand opening party to celebrate, which featured a special concert by Grammy Award-winning musician and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Elvis Costello. EarthCam is commemorating this major milestone with the release of a new time-lapse movie showcasing construction for the new headquarters.

The LEED-certified workspace was designed by Steven M. Davis, FAIA, of Davis Brody Bond in collaboration with Spacesmith. The architectural team transformed the old factory site into a vibrant campus aimed at boosting employee health and collaboration. Davis reimagined one of his signature materials, stabilized aluminum foam, which was also utilized in his most noted project, the National September 11 Museum. Taking a completely new approach, by exposing the organic nature of the translucent panels, Davis clad the structure in a high-tech glow. Made from recycled materials, the façade also acts as a sunshield for reduced energy consumption during the day. At night, hundreds of thousands of the small openings are backlit by 3,500 custom-manufactured LED lights and are reminiscent of digital video pixels, creating an unconventional beauty.

Step inside the dynamically designed interior, where visitors are greeted by an enormous, sloping 25-foot tall video portal encased in an almost 3-story glass curtain wall atrium. The video portal presents a unique medium for transforming EarthCam’s live video content into a digital representation of art imitating life, elegantly displaying the essence of the EarthCam brand. A 6-ton blackened steel tunnel serves as a transitional gateway through the video into EarthCam’s offices. Custom-printed wallpaper features thousands of images from EarthCam’s cameras around the world, showcasing a visual documentation of the company’s 22-year history. Floor to ceiling windows and skylights bring the outdoors in, providing natural light to the open, organic work spaces throughout the building. A unique 180-foot long serpentine style desk was custom-designed to join the programming lab and the creative studio, promoting cross-department collaboration.

“We wanted a space that would reflect our company’s energetic culture, where art and technology combine to inspire both our customers and growing team,” said Brian Cury, CEO and Founder of EarthCam. “I’m most proud of the campus’s outdoor experiences that support a healthy lifestyle and fun collaborative spaces that will continue to fuel our innovative spirit. Elvis Costello, one of the most influential artists known for his four-decade-long record of innovation, rocked the house and was a natural choice for the headlining performance at our grand opening party.”

The employee-centric green headquarters reinforces the company’s commitment to employee wellness and promotes a healthy physical work environment. The revitalized grounds, originally designed by famed Landscape Architect James Rose, include meditation areas, walking paths and bike trails. The EarthCam Arboretum adds to the natural beauty of the campus and features more than 50 species of carefully curated flora.

The entire construction process was documented by over 40 different time-lapse cameras from the groundbreaking ceremony on September 29, 2015 to the grand opening party. EarthCam relied on a combination of its professional construction camera technology, 360° photography and drone video to document the nearly 3 year project. With EarthCam’s new time-lapse movie, watch the development of several key spaces, including the Star Café with its reclaimed namesake roadside diner sign and custom graffiti murals by artist Anthony “Mast” Arias, and unique finish and design elements, selected by Interior Designer, Vanessa DeLeon.

Throughout the life of the project, EarthCam made views of the construction process available online via a public webpage so visitors could track progress and see important milestones. Watch the vision for EarthCam’s new headquarters, The EarthCampus™, come to life with its new 4K construction time-lapse movie.

~615^%^EarthCam First to Market with 8K Time-Lapse Camera System at World of Concrete^%^^%^1516770000^%^

World of Concrete, the first major construction show of the year, always showcases industry-leading technology and this year is no different. EarthCam is announcing the first 8 K time-lapse camera system designed specifically for the building industry.  World of Concrete attendees can visit Exhibit #C3409 from January 24-26 to learn more about the MegapixelCam 8K and other leading construction camera technologies.

The MegapixelCam 8K, which provides ultra-high resolution images using full frame camera technology, requires a new complex infrastructure that can manage, edit and render the massive files this camera creates.  EarthCam understands that the camera is the easy part.  It’s the commitment by a team of creative editors over the course of the project that produces the most valuable content.  EarthCam’s time-lapse team, with over 75 years of experience, has produced award winning movies that have generated over 25 million views on YouTube and have been featured in countless TV shows and documentaries. The camera is a project management tool during construction but it is the 8K time-lapse movie that will endure long after the building is finished.

"At EarthCam, we focus on overdelivering today to meet the expectations of tomorrow. We were the first to provide HD and 4K time-lapse services to the construction industry long before they became standards," said Brian Cury, CEO and Founder of EarthCam.  “Archiving 8K video may seem unnecessary today, however when you are documenting megaprojects, lasting three years or more, like we are, the time-lapse content we provide our visionary clients will be the emerging technology
of tomorrow.”

Additional EarthCam technology featured at World of Concrete:

ConstructionCam HD – Also premiering at the show, the 8th generation ConstructionCam featuring broadcast quality settings and an impressive 360x zoom. Ideal for live streaming to a public web page, the camera has increased low light sensitivity, color saturation and near instant focus.  With a robotic 360° field of view, the ConstructionCam HD is able to generate panoramas over 500 megapixels.  The included 4G LTE cellular modem makes this camera easy to deploy and a valuable addition to most projects.

GigapixelCam X10 – EarthCam’s GigapixelCam X10 is capable of producing over 10 billion pixel panoramas.  The camera comes equipped with a 300mm robotic lens and a 360° programmable pan/tilt base, allowing for extensive coverage of large long-term projects. The built-in onboard storage backup and remotely controlled wiper ensure that the system can reside in harsh or difficult to reach areas for years.  The exclusive camera system is currently being used by the project teams at Hudson Yards, Newark Airport expansion and the Golden State Warriors Chase Center.

VR Site Tour – Providing a 360° walk through of your jobsite every day. This do-it-yourself mobile application assembles 360° images into a virtual reality guided tour, giving stakeholders the ability to remotely inspect each room and explore the jobsite in real-time. Environmental data sensors built into the camera platform encode each image with temperature, humidity and dew point, providing critical data for daily work relying on particular environmental conditions. EarthCam will be handing out a limited number of branded VR Goggles to World of Concrete attendees.

Each EarthCam camera system can be customized with solar and wireless options, including transmitting over global wireless networks. Additionally, EarthCam offers installation services worldwide and meets requirements for projects of any length and budget.
