Welcome to the Central Park Zoo!
And now for something completely different. This new EarthCam webcam
provides a great view of the
Central Park Zoo's Edge of the Icepack
building, home to a thriving group of chinstrap and gentoo penguins.
Twice a day, at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., keepers hand feed fish to
these Antarctic birds.
PLEASE NOTE: Penguins need sleep too! The lights in the Edge Of The
Icepack building are OFF during the evenings. Discover more about
the world's wildlife - visit the
Wildlife Conservation Society's web site.

The Central Park Zoo in Manhattan has existed only since 1988. This NYC
landmark inaugurated the current trend in urban zoos in America: the
conversion of cages into environmental exhibits that educate and connect
people to our natural world.
The zoo guides visitors through tropic, temperate and polar regions to
encounter native animals. The Tisch Children's Zoo allows children to meet
gentle creatures up close.
