Welcome to Santa Fe!

The EarthCam camera is located on the Plaza on the Silver Building at the very end of the Old
Santa Fe Trail and Palace Avenue and is presented by agreement with
www.santafehotels.com. It commands a 360 degree view of the Plaza and downtown
Santa Fe, including views of Saint Francis Cathedral, and Washington Avenue stretching to the
north and verdant Palace Avenue to the east and west.
The building on the north end of the Plaza, The Palace of the Governors, is the oldest public
or governmental building in the United States. Native Americans sit under the portal of this
landmark and sell handcrafted artwork and jewelry.
Santa Fe, the oldest capital city in the United States, is translated as “City of Holy
Faith” in Spanish. With a population around 70,000, it is the third largest city in the state.
