Welcome to The Wilderness Pines Snowman

Ken and Sheryl Borton's world famous Michigan snowman and his inanimate friends remain motionless all year waiting patiently to gauge the local snowfall and weather conditions in the Wilderness Valley, Gaylord MI. While they are not likely to come to “life” anytime soon, their surroundings and seasonal outfits can now be seen in live video. During the off season local wildlife often pass through the woods, but in peak season watching snow fall and gather with arguably the most unique snow gauge anywhere, entices snow mobile enthusiasts and winter sports fans to visit. The site serves as the entryway to snow and scenic webcams throughout Northern Michigan. The Snowman Cam won media and international recognition when it was chosen one of EarthCam’s Top 25 Most Interesting Webcams for 2006.
