EarthCam and affiliate Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue introduce you to a wide variety of donkeys rescued from throughout the United States and brought to a Tehachapi, CA refuge where they live a trouble-free existence. Their numbers include wild burros under threat of being shot and displaced by loss of habitat as well as abused and neglected domestic donkeys.

The mission of the Peaceful Donkey Rescue team goes beyond providing a safe and caring environment for abused, neglected, and unwanted donkeys. The organization holds clinics, seminars and provides needed resources to donkey owners. The rescue team also actively participates in public education about the history, nature, and value of the American donkey.
