EarthCam Launches New Live Bald Eagle Preservation Camera


Nest Monitored in New Jersey Endangered Species Program.

New York, February 3, 2010 -- EarthCam (http://www.earthcam.com), the world's premiere webcam network and industry leader in webcam technology, today launched a new live Bald Eagle nest camera located near Princeton NJ.

According to the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey, the endangered Bald Eagle continues to increase in numbers in the state. The 2009 nesting season produced 85 young. A total of 84 nests are being observed and protected by agents and volunteers.

With the cooperation of New Jersey Department of Transportation EarthCam visitors now have the opportunity of watch one of those nests located on the property of the Sarnoff Corporation just off heavily traveled Route 1 in West Windsor, NJ, near Princeton.

The NJ DOT volunteered the live camera as part of a program to assure protection of endangered species in the area near a local infrastructure improvement site. The project, the Millstone River Bridge replacement in West Windsor, is scheduled for completion in October of 2010. During the construction, the eagles nest will be continuously monitored live from an EarthCam TrailerCam located just off Route 1.
