EarthCam Launches Independence Day Cams to Celebrate 4th of July

Brought together in honor of the 4th of July, the Independence Day Cams will capture the fireworks displays from a number of cities located throughout the country.

One of the most prominent cameras starring in this year's Independence Day Cams will be EarthCam's Ground Zero Cam. Viewers can see New York Governor George E. Pataki presiding as a cornerstone is laid for the Freedom Tower. The cornerstone is made of more than 20 tons of garnet-flecked granite from the Adirondacks in upstate New York and will be the first piece of the foundation of the building. The Freedom Tower will soar 1,776 feet above ground.
