EarthCam Showcases New Photography Documentation Services and Webcam Technology for the Construction Industry at CMAA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, October 24, 2013 -- EarthCam, the innovators in construction camera technology, will be demonstrating its new imaging services and lower-cost webcam technology for the construction industry at the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) National Conference and Trade Show in Las Vegas, October 28 & 29.

Visitors to EarthCam’s exhibit (#604) will learn more about the new photography documentation software to streamline and archive the construction process. EarthCam provides construction professionals with local photographers who will visit their jobsites to capture and upload inspection-grade photographs of progress to digital building plans. The jobsite images serve as a historical visual record for disputing claims, as well as an ongoing tool for maintenance teams.

With EarthCam’s do-it-yourself Site Plan mobile application, project teams have the ability to take their own photos from an iPad or smartphone. Users can add dictations to photographs and then easily upload them to EarthCam’s hosted service, where they will be integrated with local weather data and geotagged information. In the app, GPS and compass positioning are utilized to automatically assign images to markers based on the user’s geographic location, allowing for an efficient project photo documentation process. With enhanced image management tools, users can seamlessly store, view and manage all of their jobsite images in one central location. Simple search filters allow the user to view any specific set of images and generate presentation-ready PDF reports of progress to date for comprehensive team collaborations.

In addition, EarthCam will be demonstrating a no-frills professional webcam solution by Work Zone Cam. This new 12 megapixel time-lapse camera is designed for both professionals and amateurs seeking the ultimate do-it-yourself solution. While other jobsite webcam providers offer solutions with a monthly price tag attached, Work Zone Cam’s system is true plug-and-play and available for no monthly fee. With applications in the construction, retail, healthcare, education and design-build industries, the rugged construction camera is loaded with features not found on more expensive cameras, including superior digital SLR technology, a built-in wireless Sprint or Verizon modem and onboard storage capable of recording 3 years of images.
