New York, November 11, 2010 -- EarthCam, the world's premium webcam network, presents another exclusive, a Fifth Avenue camera view of New York City's Annual Veterans Day Parade, on Thursday, November 11,at 11:30 AM ET.

The camera's vantage point, one block south of St Patrick's Cathedral, offers views of Armed Service Members and their families, marching bands, over 600,000 expected parade watchers (New Yorkers and tourists) plus this year's highlight, “The Band of Pride,” made up of all the student performers participating in the parade. The commemoration will feature special recognition of the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War. In addition, it will once again honor the men and women currently serving in the armed forces, with the United States Air Force providing this year’s lead elements.

EarthCam viewers can watch the oldest and largest parade of its kind in the nation live, this year themed, “Freedom is Not Free,” and hosted by the United War Veterans Council, Inc. on behalf of the City of New York. Since November 11, 1919, the The New York City Veterans Day Parade has provided an opportunity for Americans and International visitors to honor those who have served, preserving our freedoms and defending our democracy. From its modest beginnings, a year after the Armistice was signed that concluded World War I, the parade has grown not just in scope and scale, but in national importance. The NYC Veterans Day Parade has endured and been a constant through war times and times of peace.

The Parade has always been a reflection of New York City's sense of patriotism, community spirit and respect for The Flag.
