FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, October 18, 2011 -- EarthCam, the webcam technology experts, unveiled their new MegapixelCam Advanced system today. This premier camera features 16 megapixel HDR imagery and live streaming video in one easy-to-use all-weather system.

The new MegapixelCam Advanced is designed for professionals seeking superior quality remote documentation for small to large scale projects. This heavy-duty outdoor system is housed in a thermostatically-regulated, corrosion-resistant black enclosure, and the inclusion of a maintenance-free wiper ensures optimal image clarity. This cutting-edge system is programmed to automatically capture large 4,928 x 3,264 high definition images continuously 24/7. A wide screen live streaming video preview allows users to quickly take on-demand snapshots at any time of their project remotely. The powerful MegapixelCam Advanced relies on a fast, dependable, solid-state Linux system and features self-healing technology.

With numerous applications in the construction, education and entertainment industries, this professional-level network camera system gives users various advanced photography options. Users can access additional camera settings, including ISO, white balance, metering and exposure compensation. New features available with this model include High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging. With this setting, the camera will take multiple photographs at various exposures and compile them to produce an image that most accurately represents the human eye. Creative imaging effects are made available, including Architectural Miniature, Artistic Color Sketch and Cinematic Black & White. This new system captures not only high quality images, but also creates artistic renderings that are perfectly suited for the web, print and theatrical-quality time-lapse movies.

"EarthCam is proud to continue integrating innovative camera technology and software for our customers", said Brian Cury, CEO & Founder of EarthCam. "We look forward to empowering our clients with this serious tool for archiving and visually communicating project progress in a creative way".

The camera system is powered by EarthCam's Control Center 7 comprehensive webcam Software as a Service (SaaS), delivering hosted infrastructure to securely archive and distribute sizable image, weather and project data; no additional IT services are necessary.
