EarthCam’s 4th of July Collection of Cameras Features USS Intrepid Cam

Viewers can see live images of Macy's annual fireworks show and watch as they illuminate the New York City skyline beginning at 9:20 PM (EST). As a prelude to the fireworks, spectators can also enjoy the FDNY Fireboat Water Show along the Hudson River at approximately 7:15 PM (EST).

The USS Intrepid Cam is mounted high atop the USS Intrepid Museum, a 40,000-ton, 900 foot-long aircraft carrier. Launched in 1943, the USS Intrepid served the United States Navy for 31 years. This Essex class carrier, along with her 23 sister ships, formed the backbone of the United States Navy during the latter half of the Second World War.
