WebCamStore Introduces the EarthCam Megapixel Camera Control Software

New Software Includes Extensive Feature Set With Digital Pan, Tilt, and Zoom

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, June 4, 2002 -- EarthCam (www.earthcam.com), the leader in providing streaming video webcam software and technology solutions, is pleased to announce the unveiling of its new Camera Control Software for its recently introduced line of EarthCam Megapixel Internet Camera Systems (www.webcamstore.com). EarthCam's easy to use software includes an extensive feature set with user functionality that allows viewers to digitally pan, tilt and zoom, as well as create, record and watch time-lapse archives

EarthCam's proprietary Megapixel Camera Control Software has been designed specifically to help users manage, via the Internet, the high quality image content produced by the EarthCam Megapixel Camera Systems. Utilizing any standard Internet browser, users can navigate oversized, high-resolution color pictures, intuitively with a simple joystick control. EarthCam's quick select buttons allow users to not only save and print an image, but also email a snapshot image, along with notes, to co-workers and business associates. Viewers interested in seeing the complete capability of the EarthCam Megapixel Camera System can view a higher resolution image (1288 x 968), as well, with a simple click of the 'Full Size' button. The software is also equipped with a user-friendly calendar interface that allows users to select a date and time to begin a time-lapse video archive or specify a certain time of day for detailed analysis.

"With the release of this new software, we feel we have created a complete end-to-end solution for our customers to produce and manage high resolution mega pixel images," said Brian Cury, founder and CEO of EarthCam. "In following our goal of offering only the highest quality webcam solutions for our consumers, our new Megapixel Camera System will help users better manage the ever growing live and archived image data being created by today's businesses."

The heart of the Megapixel Camera Control Software is built around EarthCam's complete infrastructure solution to monitor, serve and maintain images 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. EarthCam's robust server side monitoring and maintenance programs include EarthCam's proprietary image maintenance program that monitors each camera feed, emergency pager and e-mail notification to EarthCam technical support staff, and "self-healing" and corrective programming that is remotely applied to all systems. The software's interactive feature set comes customized with the date, time and local weather at the location where the camera resides and a chat room to interact with other users.
