2nd Annual Selection Features World's Best Internet Cameras

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW YORK, December 13, 2000 -- EarthCam (www.earthcam.com), the world's leading network of Internet cameras and recognized authority on the webcam industry, has released its second annual list of the world's most interesting webcams (www.earthcam.com/top25/2000). A prestigious panel of industry experts conducted the selection process.

This year's 25 Most Interesting Webcams includes a global perspective of people and places such as the exotic island of Bonaire; Cremona, Italy; Sydney, Australia; and Jerusalem, Israel. These unique live Internet cameras offer viewers access to breathtaking coral reefs, a taxi ride through Berlin, explore African wildlife or see what it is like to spend time in a county jail in Arizona. Other selections allow you to view four college students as they live their lives in a dorm, watch Michelle and her cat as she goes about her daily business or look in on Baby Kimmy as she continues on her way to becoming a toddler.

"This year's list offers a wonderful selection of webcams, which demonstrates the increased level of global adoption and diversity of this exciting new medium," said Brian Cury, founder and CEO of EarthCam. "Live cameras connected to the Internet continue to expand and mature to such a degree that people are investing significant resources to produce this content."

Judges, including executives from major media companies and celebrities, selected 25 out of 100 top webcams chosen by EarthCam producers and visitors to the EarthCam.com website.
