Jacelia Cruz takes her newborn daughter Janiya wherever she goes. From the kitchen to the living room and back to her bedroom, the baby is always in her mother's presence. She can't touch the tiny infant, but she can see her sleep, move and even see when the nurses at the neonatal intensive care unit change her diaper. Though Cruz can only spend a few hours a day visiting her Janiya at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, she can see the 20-day-old baby girl on her laptop whenever she wants. The BabyCam/Angel Eye, a webcam system developed by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, now streams live from nine of the 40 cribs at the hospital's NICU. Egypt's tourism minister plans to install live webcams in holiday hotspots to prove the country's industry remains healthy. Hisham Zazou said that cameras will broadcast live video of holiday makers on the beach "basking in the sun." He added: "This will give more credibility... when [tourists] see it, they will come." New telemedicine services are expanding in Washington – which allow you to see a doctor using a webcam. "We can do everything we need to do clinically," says Ralph Derrickson, CEO of a Seattle health-care company called Carena. "It’s more convenient for the patient.
