There are light displays that are bigger, brighter and possibly more florid than Alek Komarnitsky's, but none that drew international attention like his annual layout, which is lit up this year for the final time.
The Komarnitsky display first caught the internet's attention in 2002. There were features on TV and radio, articles in Time Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Germany's Heise De and elsewhere. New Stadium Webcam Pausing for Relocation (vikings.com)
The high-tech camera that has offered a live stream from the southeast corner of the new Vikings stadium during the first year of construction will go off-line Friday for relocation.
The progress on that side of the stadium has soared past the sightline into the stadium, so the camera will be moved to a west-to-east vantage that will eventually allow fans to see installation of the world’s largest pivoting glass doors.
