b. For best results, EarthCam recommends your IP camera have a static IP on your local area network (LAN).

c. You may also want to use a dynamic "DNS" or Domain Name System that changes your public IP address into a URL such as "maryswebcam.domainname.com." This way it's easy for your friends and family to remember it.
