Welcome to Sichuan, China!

The Wolong Nature Reserve, a Giant Panda Sanctuary World Heritage Site, is the location for a live webcam where the world can observe efforts to save the highly endangered animals. Wolong is one of seven nature reserves and five scenic parks in Sichuan Province, where more than 300 Pandas or about 30 percent of the remaining 1,600 Giant Panda population reside. The location, with its mission of saving and breeding the endangered species, was established in 1963.

EarthCam, and affiliate the US-China Environmental Fund (USCEF) join in the effort to raise the awareness of the world through observation of the Giant Pandas in environment created to insure their continued existence.

USCEF's Conservation Planning projects have two goals: to protect cultural and natural resources and to enhance visitor experiences at protected areas such as World Heritage Sites, national parks, nature reserves, and historic monuments. For more information about the history, mission and activity of USCEF please visit http://www.uscef.org/.
